Levels of Our Interdisciplinary Clinical Internship

We take a select number of interns each year from BA - PhD level.  Based on one's background, educational track, and ability to meet the training and supervision requirements of our practice, interns are selected to join group.

BA level and all social work tracks spend a large portion of their practicum hours by working in our Therapeutic Social Skills Group Program.  - See Therapeutic Social Skills Group tab under services to learn about this program.

Those who are enrolled in clinical master and doctoral programs may participate in counseling, coaching and intake services.  All levels will have regular training opportunities and directly work with children and families.

    Supervision

Specialists in our practice offer both Clinical Supervision and Reflective Practice Supervision in weekly group sessions. We provide training and supervision to BA, MA, PhD and associate lic level professionals. Each developing professional in clinical internship is required to attend both group and individual supervision on a weekly basis.

Additional supervision may be required based on caseload and activities one is engaged in.

    Pediatric Mental Health

The  Barry Group's trans-disciplinary  clinical team meets formally monthly, and developing clinical professionals will have the opportunity to present a case to the team or observe interdisciplinary case consultation.

Select Interns will be approved to work on our warm-line phone service for new  mothers.
